EXTRACTION OF PALLADIUM WITH TOPO

Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, the extraction of palladium with triNoctyl phosphine oxide(TOPO)from hydrochloric acid solution and its back-extraction with thiourea have been studied, The composition of the extraction complexes determined experimentally by the methods of equi- molal series, saturation,solpe and chemical analysis. The extraction mechanism of palladium with TOPO were discussed through UV-VIS spectrometric determination, The extraction process can be expressed as: 2PdCl₄^2-_(a)+2TOPO_(o)⇔Pd₂Cl₄·2TPPO_(o)+4Cl^-_(a)
