Abstract:

A novel method for fabrication of glucose electrochemical biosensor based on simultaneously embedding gold nanoparticles and glucose oxidase in silica sol-gel network on gold electrode surface was investigated. The preparation conditions were optimized. The enzyme electrode displayed an excellent electrocatalytic response to glucose. The glucose sensor had a linear range from 0.02 to 2.0 mmol/L and the detection limit of 0.005 mmol/L. It was found that the response current to glucose decreased about 8% after storage at 4℃ for 100 days. The biosensor exhibited high sensitivity, rapid response and good long-term stability.
