Abstract: Atomic force microscopy(AFM) is widely used in biological research, AFM based single molecule force spectroscopy can be applied to study the intramolecular and intermolecular interactions of biomolecules at the single-molecule and single-cell levels. In this paper, we present the latest progress of AFM based single molecule force spectroscopy in biomolecular interaction, protein unfolding, cell surface biomolecules, cell mechanical properties and single molecule force spectroscopy imaging.
