Research Progress of Assembly of Phospholipid Tube in Vitro and Its Potential Application in the Field of Biology and Chemistry

Abstract:

Microtubules composed of phospholipids exist in both tissues and organs and play an important role in material transfer and information exchange between cells. Simple and rapid assembly of phospholipid tube in vitro is a good way to reveal and analyze the information system of life. Due to its good biocompatibility and scaffold structure, material or structural modification of phospholipid tube is the best way for expanding its potential application. A series of progress on biological, materials and chemical applications has also been made on the carrier using phospholipid tubes themselves as well as the micro/nanomaterials fabrication using the phospholipid tube as the template. In this review, the assembly of phospholipid tube in vitro and its application in many fields are summarized, mainly focusing on the classification of phospholipid tube assembly method in vitro and its application in biology and chemistry field, and the prospective development and application direction of phospholipids tube in multifunctional nanocomposite materials is put forward.
