Abstract:

A sensor was fabricated by means of electrodeposition nickel-nickel oxide and copper-cuprous oxide on a glass carbon electrode in the solution of Ni2+and Cu2+. It was based on the catalytic reduction of H2O2 by nickel-nickel oxide and copper- cuprous oxide at a certain applied potential of -0.3V. The response current was linearly changed with the concentration of H2O2 in a range from 2.5×10-6 to 2.8×10-3 mol/. The effects of assay conditions on performances of hydrogen peroxide sensor were studied. The preparation of the sensor is  simple and it can be used for a long time. The sensor was used for the determination of real samples containing hydrogen peroxide with satisfactory recovery and result.
