Pyrolysis of Polycarbosilane/Nano Nickel Particles

Abstract

Abstract: In this paper the pyrolytic process of polycarbosilane mixed with nano nickel particles was studied. This process involves two stages: the transition of organosilicon polymer to inorganic amorphous state and then to crystallite. The dominative form in pyrolytic products is Ni₂Si. The addition of nano nickel particles accelerates the growth of β-SiC and the increase of crystallite size.
