STUDIES ON WHITE POWDERY TUNGSTIC ACID ⅩⅧ.PREPARATION AND PROPERTIES OF DIMETHY SULFOXIDE COORDINATED MULTIVALENT METAL DECATUNGSTATES

Abstract: The title compounds have been successfully prepared in DMSO-H2O medium from whitepowdery tungstic acid. They are DMSO coordinated decatungstates, exist as well definedcrystals: [M(Ⅰ)(DMSO)4 (H2O2)]2 [W10O32](M = Cu, Zn, Co, Ni),[(VO)(Ⅰ)(DMSO)4(H2O)]2[W10O32] and [M(Ⅲ) (DMSO)8]4[W10O32]3·8H2O (M=Pr, Nd). The results ofelemental and thermal analyes, IR and UV spectra are presented. Their stabilities in solutionshave also been examined.
