Abstract

Abstract: Six solid ternary complexes of Ln(Ⅲ) (Tb, Eu, La) with o-aminobenzoic acid (o-AA)or N-phenylanthranilic acid (N-PAA) and 1, 10-phenanthroline (Phen) were prepared. Thecomplexes have the compositions Ln (Phen) (o-AA)₃ or Ln (Phen) (N-PAA)₃ and were characte-rized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, molar conductance, ¹H NMR, XPS spectra measurements and thermal analysis.Detailed discussion on the luminescence of the complexes is given.
