Abstract: The adhesion is an important characteristic of the superhydrophobic surface. With the studies of the superhydrophobic surfaces, the responsive intelligent superhydrophobic surface has attracted great interest. Meanwhile, superhydrophobic surfaces with high adhesion which can be used as “mechanical hands” to snatch micro-liter liquids have drawn close attention. The impacts of surface morphology and surface chemical composition on the superhydrophobic surface adhesion were discussed in the article. The research progress on preparation of high adhesive superhydrophobic surfaces was summarized and future research directions of high adhesive superhydrophobic surfaces were discussed as well.
