Abstract: TiO2 graphene composite was obtained by a one step hydrothermal method, using graphite oxide and commercial TiO2 as precursors. The morphology and structure of the composite were examined by scanning electron microscopy, transition electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption-desorption and Raman spectrum. The as-prepared TiO2-graphene photocatalyst possessed great adsorptivity of dyes, extended light absorption range, and efficient charge separation properties. Hence, in the photodegradation of methylene blue, a significant enhancement in efficiency was observed with TiO2-graphene compared to the neat TiO2.
