Preparation,Property and Structure of the Spherical Ni(OH)2 Particle for Positive Electrode of Alkaline Storage Battery

Abstract: The optimum technology conditions of preparation of the high density spherical Ni(OH)2 particles used as active material are reported. The size of the porous particles and crystal grain can be controlled by adjusting the micro crystal growth in order to get a tap density in 1.6 to 2.6 g/mL. Addition of a proper dopant could make the utilization ratio of Ni(OH)2 close to 100% in the pasted nickel positive electrode.
