Abstract: The morphology and mechanical properties of PES-C/PPS blends have been stud-ied by means of DSC,DMA,SEM and mechanical characterization. The blends are partlycompatible. It is interested that, though the strength and ductility of PPS is lower than thatof PES-C, at low content of PPS the impact strength of PES-C can be improved markedlywithout changing its tensile strength and elongation at break. The melt index of the blendsalso increases with increasing PPS content.
