Abstract:

The interaction between Breviscapine and DNA was studied by cyclic voltammetry and UV-Vis spectrcmetry. The results indicated that with the addition of DNA, the oxidation peak currents of Breviscapine decreased and peak potentials also shifted positively, and the interaction between Breviscapine and dsDNA was stronger than that between Breviscapine and ssDNA.The results showed that Breviscapine react with DNA mainly in a mode of intercalation, which was comfirm by UV-Vis spectrcmetry. The combining ratio of Breviscapine to dsDNA was 3:1, with the combining constants 3.63×1013.
