Influences of Spinel on Phase Composition and Ionic Conduction Property of Naβ/β″-Al₂O₃ Film

Abstract

Abstract: Sodium β/β″-Al₂O₃ films were prepared by the reaction of spinel-α-Al₂O₃ compo-site substrate with Li₂O and Na₂O vapour.The influnences of MgO added to the substrateson the phase composition and electrical conduction property of the films were investigated.The results showed that the addition of MgO to the substrate in weight ≤1% ~2% could en-hance the β″-Al₂O₃ phase content and there fore improve the ionic conductivity of the film.
