Melting and Crystallization of MC Nylon-6

Abstract

Abstract: The influences of addition of La₂O₃ and Y₂O₃ on the crystallization and melting be-havior of MC nvlon-6 have been studied by DSC technique at a rate of 10℃/min.Both rareearth oxides increased the crvstallization temperattire T_c and decreascd the melting tempera-ture T_m of MC nylon-6,decreased the crystallinity X_c. Addition of La₂O₃ decreased the equilibrlum melting temperature T_m⁰,leading to the increased crystallization rate and imperfectness of the crvstallization. Adtlition of Y₂O₃ increased the T_m⁰,remarkedly improving thethermal stability of MC nylon-6.
