Abstract: This paper reports a reaction between trimethylsiloxyphosphite (an active silicon-phosp-horus reagent) with aldehydes or ketones, and fourteen compounds of diethyl trimethylsilo-xyalkylphosphonates have been synthesized. The structures of the products were confirmedby IR,1H NMR,31P NMR,MS and elemental analysis measurements. The reaction mechanismis discussed.
