Preparation and Heat Storage/Release of Paraffin/Octadecanoic Acid/Octadecanol Composite

摘要: 采用石蜡、十八酸、十八醇为相变原材料,膨胀石墨作为填充式导热材料,制备了一种应用于动力电池散热的新型复合相变材料。 用差示扫描量热仪(DSC)测试了热流率随温度的变化规律,其中十八酸主要影响相变材料的相变温度区间,十八醇主要影响相变潜热。 相变材料最优配比为质量分数56%石蜡+16%十八酸+28%十八醇,其熔融相变温度为48 ℃,相变潜热为241.9 kJ/kg。 在蓄/放热装置中加入含不同质量分数的膨胀石墨的相变材料,能够增加相变材料的导热性,同时会使热量的分布更加均匀,减弱了温度不均衡现象;在不同水平面上,加入膨胀石墨会导致位于下层的相变材料的加热速度更快;在同一水平面上,相变材料的加热速度与温度的传递方向一致,即加热壁面在外,则传热方向由外向内,加热速度由外至内呈逐渐减缓。

Abstract: A new type of composite phase change material (PCM) for heat dissipation of power battery was prepared. Paraffin, octadecanoic acid and octadecanol were used as the PCM materials, and expanded graphite was used as the filler for heat conduction material. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to test the variation of thermal properties with temperature. Octadecanoic acid and octadecanoic alcohol mainly affect the temperature range and the latent heat of phase change materials, respectively. The optimal phase change material contains 56% paraffin, 16% octadecanoic acid and 28% octadecanol. The melting temperature of phase change material is 48 ℃, and the latent heat of phase change is 241.9 kJ/kg. The thermal conductivity and heat transfer behavior of PCM were studied by adding expanded graphite in the self-designed storage/heat release device. The results show that the thermal conductivity of PCM can be increased by adding expanded graphite. At the same time, it will make the heat distribution more uniform, and weaken the temperature imbalance phenomenon. The heating rate of the phase change material in the lower layer is faster when the expanded graphite is added at different horizontal surfaces. On the same horizontal plane, the heating rate of PCM is consistent with the direction of temperature transfer, that is, the heating wall is outside, so the heat transfer direction is from outside to inside, and the heating rate is gradually slowed down from outside to inside.
