Abstract: Plasma-induced graft copolymerization of methyl methacrylate to nascent polypropylene(PP)povvder has been investigated,The samples vvere characterized by FT-IR and verified to be grafted copolymer,The dependence of grafting yields on plasma treatment power, time, and copolymerization time, temperature was determined. The influences of the diluent and particle sizes of PP on the grafting yield were studied.Auto-acceleration effect during grafting and acceleration effect resulted from diluents were found.

Key words: nascent polypropylene, plasma, graft copolymerization, methyl methacrylate
