EXTRACTION OF IRON(Ⅲ),COBALT(Ⅱ)AND NICKLE(Ⅱ)WITH 1,10-BIS(1' -PHENYL-3' -METHYL-5' -OXOPYRAZOLE-4' -YL)-1,10-DECANEDIONE

Abstract: The extraction behavior of iron(Ⅲ), cobalt(Ⅰ) and nickle(Ⅰ) by title compound (abbre-viated as H2A) in chloroform, has been studied. In the solution of sodium nitrate and HAc--NaAc, H2A extracts iron(Ⅲ) and cobalt(Ⅰ), but doesn' t extract nickle(Ⅰ). The composi-tions of the extracted complexes were determined as Fe2A3 and CoA (H2A) respectively. Their pH1/2 values were found to be 2.6 and 4.8 and their extraction equilibrium constants were 1.31 and - 5.12 respectively. The title extractant promised to fulfil the separation betweeniron(Ⅲ), cobalt(Ⅰ) and nickle(Ⅰ).
