Abstract: The deposition potenials of Li(I) on AI, Al-Cu, Al-RE and Mo electrodes and diffu-sion coefficient of lithium in liquid Al-Cu alloy have been measured by voltammetry andanodic chronopotentiometry respectively.A strong depolarization is observed in the depositionprocess of Li(I) on Al, Al-Cu, and Al-RE electrodes. In the range of 973~1073K, the co-relation between the diffusion coefficient and temperature can be represented by lnD = 5.70-16150/T.The experimental results show an increase in the chemical diffusion coefficientwith increasing lithium content in the alloy matrix at concentrations used.
