Abstract:

Solid-state chemiluminescence based on three luminescent materials polyfluorenes(PF), 5,5'-bis(9,9-dioctyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl)-2,2'-bithiophene(F-T-T-F) and 4,7-bis(5-(9,9-d-ipropyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl)thiophen-2-yl)benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole(3FT-BTD) has been researched. Through fabricating the test paper with chemiluminescent materials absorbed onto the relative filter paper, the interaction between test paper and oxalyl chloride vapor was studied. Compared with the durations of chemiluminescence(CL) in solution system, that of solid-state CL based on the test paper could be greatly prolonged to 8~10 min. Low detection limit for oxalyl chloride vapor has been achieved by this method, which are 0.013 mg/m3(PF), 0.27 mg/m3(F-T-T-F) and1.8 mg/m3(3FT-BTD), respectively. The test paper can be exposed to the oxalyl chloride vapor over and over again, inducing CL without significant decrease of intensity, which proved a good reusability. Due to the selective effect for oxalyl chloride of the test paper, it provides a simple method of visual detection for toxic oxalyl chloride vapor.
