Abstract

Abstract: The soap free hydrosol, which was crosslinked by Zn(NH₃)²⁺ 4 to form coating film, has been prepared from acrylate copolymer from (methyl metacrylate/butyl acrylate/acrylic acid/styrene (or divinylbenzene). The coating films have better water resistance due to the presence of benzene ring in the copolymer, which has been characterized by ¹³C NMR, IR and GPC for molecular weight determination.
