Abstract: A new type of supported complex catalysts, zirconium glycine-N,N-dimethylph osphonate palladium was prepared for the first time. The catalytic activity of title catalysts for hydrogenation of several substrates under atmospheric pressure was studied. The catalytic activity is greatly affected by the NCH2CO2H/Pd ratio, catalyst amount, reaction temperature, substrates and solvents. At 40℃ and under atmospheric pressure, the hydrogenation activity of the catalysts for various substituted olefins and nitrobenzene is very high and with high selectivity. The catalyst can be reused.
