Abstract: The hydroxy-terminated phenoxy resin was prepared by the reaction of bisphenol-A and epichlorohydrin using BF3·OEt2 as a catalyst, and then mixed with castor oil and reacted with toluene diisocyanate, hexamethylene diisocyanate and isophorone diisocyanate, respectively,to give a series of polyurethanes. The mechanical properties of the polyurethanes with various compositions were investigated.Under optimum content of castor oil and NCO/OH mole ratio,a series of polyurethanes with good mechanical properties have been obtained.
