Abstract: Tb(Ⅲ)/Ca(Ⅱ)-L-glutamic acid-L-threonine systems were studied at 37℃ and in solution with an ionic strength of 0.15 mol/L(NaCl)by potentiometric titration. The stability constants of Tb(Ⅲ),Ca(Ⅱ)complexes with L-glutamic acid and L-threonine were obtained. Results show that Tb(Ⅲ),Ca(Ⅱ)ternary complexes are the main species among all species in ternary systems and that Tb(Ⅲ)complexes are more stable than Ca(Ⅱ)complexes.

Key words: terbium, calcium, L-threonine, L-glutamic acid, ternary complex
