Synthesis and Characterization of New Chiral Shiff Base Liquid Crystals

Abstract

Abstract: Three chiral liquid crystals with Schiff base group have been prepared.The struc-tures of the liquid crystals were confirmed by elemeiltal analysis and¹H NMR. The phasetransition was investigated by the methods of polarized microscopy,DSC and WAXD,Theresults show that two of the liquid crystals are ferroelectric.
