SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF LIGHT LANTHANIDE PICRATE COMPLEXES WITH 18-CROWN-6 ETHER

Abstract

Abstract: Six new solid complexes of the light lanthanide picrate with 18-crown-6 ether have beensynthesized in ethanol solution.The complexes are formularized to be RE(Pic)₃·18C6·H₂O,(RE = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd, Pic = picrate).The compositions and structures of thecomplexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements,IR spectra, ¹H-NMR spectra and X-ray powder diffractometry.
