Abstract

Abstract: The synthesis of a novol 18 membered title compound (H₂L) is reported.Lanthanidecomplexes (La through Lu, Pm excluded) with this ligand have been prepared in aqueoussolution by the interaction of H₂L with rare earth nitrates.All these complexes crystallizedin microcrystalline powder wth composition of Ln(H₂L)·(NO₃)₃·nH₂O, independent of themetal to ligand ratio used in the preparation.All these complexes were characterized by ele-mental analysis, thermoanalysis, IR spectra and conductivity measurements.
