Abstract: The polymerization of butadiene catalyzed by the new binary iron catalysts FeCln·3L-AlR3 (n = 2 or 3, L = P350 or O = P(OBu)3) has been studied.Polybutadiene having about 75% of cis-1,4 and 25% of 1,2 units was obtained. The obtimum Al/Fe ratio in the catalystsystem was found. The effects of monomer concentration, varity of iron complex andpolymerization temperature on polymerization of butadiene were examined.

Key words: butadiene, iron catalyst, binary catalyst, coordination Polymerization
