CHARACTERIZATION OF HYDROXYLTERMINATED POLY-BUTADIENE(HTPB) PREPOLYMER

Abstract

Abstract: The China made hydroxylterminated polybutadiene (HTPB) has been characterized using VPO, IR, GPC and TLC techniques. The polymer was found to have M_n=3220,M_w/M_n=1.69,f_n=2.16 and f_w=2.27 with its number average functionlity being inereased with molecular weight. The reliability of TLC to determine the functionality distribution of HTPB has been discussed.
