Synthesis of 3,6-diarylpyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines

Abstract: Twelve new 7-substituted-3,6-diarylpyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines were synthesized by the aminizations of the derivatives of 5,7-dichloro-3-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-methyl-6-phenylpyrazolo [1,5-a] pyrimidine. These derivatives were prepared by the reaction of 3-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-methyl-6-phenylpyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-5,7-diol and phosphorus oxychloride. The products were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
