Abstract:

The 3D hierarchical hollow flower-like MnCo2O4 (HF-MnCo2O4) is prepared successfully to combine the advantages of the photocatalytic degradation and persulfate (PS) oxidation. The obtained HF-MnCo2O4 could effectively activate PS under visible irradiation. The photocatalytic activities for the coupled system containing of HF-MnCo2O4 and PS are investigated by the photodegradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. The introduction of PS not only inhibits the recombination of photoexcited e-/h + pairs, but also generates more actived species in the system. Benefiting from the unique construction and the synergistic effect between of HF-MnCo2O4 and PS, the removal ratio of HF-MnCo2O4/PS/Vis system for MB reaches to 95.8%. The enhanced mechanism for mineralization contaminant of HF-MnCo2O4/PS/Vis system is discussed in details.
