Abstract: Four double-ring difluorometheneoxy-bridged benzene compounds were synthesized and characterized by means of IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 19F NMR and MS. Their viscosities at different temperatures were also measured and analyzed by using liquid dynamic rheometer. It was found that these compounds not only have super low viscosity and small temperature-dependent viscosity, but also can be used as the solvent of LC to replace ester components. They may be used as the LC solvent to improve the low-temperature response speed of LCD.
