Abstract: For continuous determination of arsenic and tin a new method consisted of the hydride generation-silver sol spectrophotometry has been proposed. The separation of As and Sn was achieved in the form of AsH3 and SnH4 in 3.0 mol/L HCI and in a medium of pH 5.5, respectively from the same solution. With a hydride separator which eliminates the interference of other covalent hydrides, the method is characterized by high sensitivity, selectivity and applicability. Satisfactory results were obtained in analysing pure lead, ferrotungsten alloy, ore, and sediments.
