Abstract: The perovskite type of compound (n-C12H25NH3)2ZnCl4(C12Zn) exhibits a solid-solidphasetransition (ΔH = 63.88kJ·mol-1) at 365.86K.A temperature dependence study of Ramanspectra of C12Zn provides evidence of the occurence of the structural phase transition relatedto the dynamics of the alkylammonium ions. The phase below 365.86K is ordered and cont-ains the all-trans alkyl chains.Above 365.86K, the alkyl chains become conformationaldisordered and leads to a achain melting".
