Abstract: A series of new bis(1-carbonylamino-3-aroylthiourea)1 were synthesized by condensationof aroylisothiocyanate with oxalylhydrazine in anhydrous acetonitrile. Some of bis(3-yl-4-aroyl-1, 2,4 -triazoline- 5-thione) 2 were obtamed in good yields (32.3~91.7%) by cycliztaionof compounds 1 in alkaline solution. The structures of all the synthesized compounds werecharacterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and MS.Preliminary plant physiological tests indicated that some of compounds 1 possess strongpromoting activity on the growth of plumule of corn at concentration of ppm.
