Abstract: The electrochemical corrosion of rare earth metal La and Nd in their molten halides has been investigated by means of weak polarization measurements. The current density of dissolution of La and Nd was 17.4 mA/cm2 and 29.9 mA/cm2 at 800℃, and 26mA/cm2 and 46.9 mA/cm2 at 860℃, respectively.
