Synthesis and Characterization of Tetra(p-methoxy-phenyl) Porphyrin and Its Samarium(Ⅲ) Complexes

Abstract

Abstract:

A new tetra(p-methoxy-phenyl) porphyrin Sm(Ⅲ) complex was obtained by the reaction of samarium chloride and tetra(p-methoxy-phenyl) porphyrin in THF in a yield of 62.4%. Besides the coordination reaction conditions, ligands and their complexes fluorescence properties were studied. Their structures were identified by UV-Vis, IR, ¹H NMR and elemental analysis, which show that Sm(Ⅲ) complex has been formed. The reaction conditions were simple and easy to operate.
