Abstract:

CoFe2O4 nanocrystals were prepared by means of a low temperature refluxing method from CTAB as templet, Fe(NO3)3·9H2O and Co(NO3)2·6H2O as precursors, NaOH as precipitator. The as-prepared products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, infrared and Raman spectrometries. The room temperature magnetic properties were determined by means of vibrating sample magnetometer. The results show that CoFe2O4 has a single-phase spinel structure. The average particle size was in a range of 15-20 nm. CoFe2O4 exhibited a clearly magnetic hysteretic behavior under applied magnetic field at room temperature. The values of variation of saturation magnetization (Ms) and coercivity (HC) were 36.5 A•m2/kg and 5.89×104 A/m, respectively.
