Abstract:

With tetrabutyltitanate as a precursor, the Sr-TiO2 films coated on the sheet glass substrates were prepared respectively by sol-gel method and dip-coating technique. The structure of SrO-TiO2 powder was characterized by XRD and IR. The transmission rate of the films were measured on the Uv-Vis spectrophotometer. The contact angle between the film and water was also mesued with the contact angle mesuring instrument. The results obtained are as follows: the grain size of TiO2 in Sr-TiO2 powder become smaller when a proper amount of Sr2+ was doped. The hydroxyl content on the thin film and its stability have been increased, which are beneficial to the superhydrophilicity of the film. Under the irradiation of ultraviolet light for an hour or natural light for five hours, the contect angle between the water and Sr-TiO2 thin film with 1.0%(mole percentage) of Sr2+ doping amount was close to 0°, the water can easily fully roll out on the film surface, the thin film shows good hydrophilicity.
