Utilization of Composite Treating AgentJY-8 for Residual Polymers in Polymer Injection Block

Abstract:

According to water cut common rapid increase,oil production great decrease, a lot of unutilized residual polymers in the reservoir,no extension application of residual polymers reutilization technologies because of some reasons at present, since all oil fields change polymer flooding to water flooding,this paper develops a new composite treating agent JY-8.The new composite treating agent JY-8 is a good fixative and flocculant,which can form heigh strength gel with polymers, consolidate and flocculate residual polymers in the reservoir effectively, realize unification of two agents, achieve goals of deep profile control and oil displacement for the formations,at the same time, gelation time and gel strength can be regulated by adjusting used-amount of new composite treating agent JY-8. laboratory evaluations and field applications indicate that new composite treating agent JY-8 increases utilization ratio of residual polymers in the reservoir from 8% to 15.65%, increases recovery ratio of water flooding after polymer flooding from 10.33% to 18.1%, plays a good oil increment effect on oil wells,while contrasting to previous technologies.
