Synthesis of Ternary Solid Complexes of Rare Earth with Iso-nicotinic Acid and Phenanthroline

Abstract: Fourteen solid complexes of rare earth with iso-nicotinic acid(HL) and 1,10-phenanthroline(Phen) have been synthesized and characterized. They are stable in air and have a general structural constitution of RE(Phen)L3, where RE=La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, and Y.
