Extraction Mechanism of Ga3+ with Mono(2-Ethylhexyl)2-Ethylhexyl Phosphonate(P507) from Hydrochloric Acid solution

Abstract: The extraction mechanism of Ga3+ from hydrochloric acid solution with momo(2-ethylhexyl)2-ethylhexyl phosphonate has been investigated. Results show that the extraction reaction is Ga3++2H2A2(o)=GaA3HA(o)+3H-+ΔH0=-11.009 kJ/mol,ΔG0=9.384~11.136 kJ/mol,-ΔS0=68.43~68.74 J/mol.
