Abstract

Abstract: Amorphous zirconium (diphenylphosphinate-hydrogen phosphate)-ferric chloridecomplex Zr(HPO₄)_1.5[O₂P(C₆H₅)₂]·[FeCl₂(OH)] was prepared.The complex is low hygroscopic,not fumy and stable in air.The complex shows fairly good catalytic activity forFriedel-Crafts alkylation reaction of aromatic hydrocarbons with alkyl halides in liquidphase.The advantages of the reaction are:mild reaction condition,high yield of products,easy operation,simple after-treatment,and many times reuse of the catalyst.
