THERMAL PROPERTIES OF OPTICALLY ACTIVE PTrMA SERIES

Abstract: Optically active polymer series of poly(triphenylmethy methacrylate) has been studied by thermogravimetry. The effects of heating rate and surrounding atmosphere on the thermal behaviour of polymers are discussed. The activation energy of thermal degradation of PTrMA is calculated by the differential and integral methods. The thermal stability and mechanism of thermal degradation has been discussed.
