CHELATED SETTING OF THE ACRYLATE AQUEOUS EMULSION PAINTS

Abstract: The room temperature crosslinking of acrylates copolymer latices which contained chel-ating monomer 2-AAEMA has been investigated.The actual crosslinking effects of fivemetal salts (M2+) and copolymer emulsion with different 2-AAEMA content were compared.The composition and 2-AAEMA content in the copolymers were determined using 1H-NMR.The structure of the chelate crosslinked film was studied by IR.the crosslinking degree ofset products as well as their physical properties, such as water resistance, hardness andmechenical properties etc, also have been characterized.
