ON THE DEGREE OF PHASE SEPARATION OF TPUE

Abstract

Abstract: The degree of phase separation of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers (TPUE) hasbeen studied by means of DMA and DSC measurements. The influence of hard segmentcontent, molecular peight of soft segment on the degree of phase separetion of TPUE andthe dependence of |△E′/△T|,△α_s,1/2in the α_s,1/2 transition range on W_h have also beeninvestigeted.Tt is found that there exist a lincar relation between |△E′/△T|,△α_s,1/2,1/tanδ,△C_p2/△C_p1 and W_h.
