Abstract:

In the context of industrial transfer and economic transformation, universities in small and medium-sized cities urgently need to explore new paths to serve regional economy and cultivate applied talents. This article takes the School of Chemistry and Materials Engineering at Baoji University of Arts and Sciences as an example to address the problems of outdated curriculum design and insufficient school enterprise cooperation in traditional undergraduate chemistry education. It constructs a “1+2+3+3” outstanding engineer education model and a “knowledge-ability-literacy” three-dimensional curriculum system, innovatively practicing the “education-science-production” closed-loop training paradigm. Research has shown that this model significantly improves students' comprehensive quality and practical ability, providing effective support for local economic development. Future colleges will further deepen curriculum reform, expand school enterprise cooperation models, promote the digital transformation of the education system, and provide practical references for the high-quality development of universities in small and medium-sized cities.
