On the Crystallinity of Syndiotactic Polypropylene

Abstract

Abstract: A formula for calculating the crystallinity of syndiotactic polypropylene samples synthesized by metallocene catalyst with constant syndiotacticity has been derived on the basis of WAXD intensity and the graphic resolution method. The calculated by this formula values have been compared with those obtained by DSC and density measurements. They all give a maximum value at T_c(95℃) of the polymer, while the calculated values are more or less higher.
