Abstract: PTMSP membrane was modified by CCl4 plasma, and the surface of modified membranes was studied by XPS and water contact angle measurements. The experimental results show that the CCl4 plasma modified membranes exhibit a significant increase in gas selectivity over the unmodified PTMSP.The oxygen-nitrogen separation factorsαo2/N2 increased from 1.50 to 7.89 and the oxygen permeation coefficient Po2 decreased from 9×105 Barrer to 9×102 Barrer.
